Some previous work we found and just thought of posting just for the sake of posterity. And yes so you guys can see how our typical day is like shooting for clients. Though there is some sort of familiarity in advertising projects, each shoot still presents some unique challenges. Like... shooting with kids. For one, government law mandates kids can only work for four (4) hours per shooting day. Mind you, this was still before the pandemic. Today's requirements are way stricter to implement. https://youtu.be/wFW9vfW03Hs Production Credits: Client: Wyeth PhilippinesAgency: Campaigns & GreyPhotographer: Jay Tablante

As the city tightens up, space is indeed becoming a new luxury. New living spaces have been sprawling up outwards of Metro Manila just to have a glimpse of greenery in the mornings. We had this amazing opportunity to work on this project to show how space can change the way to experience our lives. We don't need to cram ourselves within Metro Manila if we can. Happy 2021!

Happy 2021!

For some, 2020 was a big blur that began in March and zipped right unto the Christmas season. For most of us, it was a very inconvenient truth that we all had to swallow with businesses closing left and right, working and shooting from home and strict adherence to lockdown rules and curfews among so many other disappointments. And yet for others, it’s been a nightmare year marked by tragedy and loss. But no matter what, the past year has forced us to reflect on and evaluate what truly matters, work with the resources at hand, seek alternative means of…

Shooting from home

It would probably take a longer while before a vaccine for covid is finally discovered. And until that time comes, we have to make do and actually learn to live with this virus. It’s during unprecedented times like these that we are compelled to add not just one or two additional hats to the ones that we are already wearing. As we are forced to isolate and shoot from our homes, we as photographers aren’t just tasked to capture images but to style them as well. My few years studying to be a chef combined with the work that I’ve…

Quite the interesting project to do with one of the known brands in coffee. We had the chance to fly to Bukidnon and do this shoot with legit coffee farmers. Mindanao is such an amazing place to visit. On the way to the venue it was nothing but lush mountains and farm lands. Behind The Scenes: Descendants of the Sun

Behind The Scenes: Descendants of the Sun

What happens when we can't have the photo shoot on location? We bring the location to the studio! When you're at the mercy of inclement weather and there are deadlines to beat, the job of a production designer/art department becomes all the more crucial. For GMA Network's version of the koreanovela Descendants of the Sun, an army camp and barracks had to be painstakingly recreated inside a small space for the pictorial. I have to admit that our PD did quite a very awesomely meticulous job with the details and textures we worked with on that day. I think that…

The ability of a model to conjure just the right kind of emotion with her face and body as the photographer captures those decisive moments is part of the 'magic' of photography. There's a dynamic here that may or may not result in the best images. Working with a model (professional or not) is most rewarding when she doesn't hold back, when she's not afraid to look silly, when she infects everyone on set with her energy and when she gives more then what is asked with her - this is a portrait photographer's dream. When this happens, the photographer…
