Senior Photographer
Paulo is a commercial photographer for beauty, architecture, food, lifestyle, fashion and product. A deep fascination and background with fine art, music, set and costume design, theater and culinary arts continue to make an indelible influence in his current shooting style.
After graduating with a Communication degree from De La Salle University in 2004 and with no clue on what to do next, Paulo trained as a chef in a couple of restaurants while singing, both locally and abroad, with the eight-man pop a capella group, The Akafellas.
In 2006, he became a photographer at The Picture Company Alabang, patiently shooting kids, babies and families and moving up as a training manager along the way. A burning desire to shoot glamour and an apprenticeship from 2007 to 2011 took his career to new and very exciting heights.
Today, Paulo enjoys the highly dynamic and unpredictable nature of the commercial and entertainment industry while collaborating with like-minded artists. His clients include the GMA Network, Coca-Cola Philippines, Ayala Land, Globe Telecom, Proctor and Gamble, Tanduay, Swatch and TOTO Ltd. Japan. His work has also been seen on the pages of People Asia, Mega, Women’s Health and Yes! Magazine. Whether its meeting and shooting a bunch of high profile celebrities or snapping away at a chic and luxurious interior, each day for Paulo is different from the next with always something new to learn.
A current stint with Tripadvisor.com, which has taken him to near and remote corners of the Philippines, allows him to explore the joys of travel photography.
Paulo’s love for photography is matched by his love for great design, work done with passion, and well-researched details. He hates greasy fingers, getting stuck behind slow drivers, and liver.
